We are practising four narrative tenses:
Past Simple (looked out);Past Continuous (was eating);
Past Perfect (had broken);
Past Perfect Continuous (had been destroying).
This is the 11-sentence story that I had been creating for the forty minutes at the lesson.
My naughty mini pig
My mini pig was just eating some flowers when the neighbour looked out and saw him.
At that moment the neighbour's wife drew up.
She saw her husband running downstairs.
So then they rushed to the pig and tried to catch him.
In the end the neighbour came to me and asked to pay back the damage.
According to the neighbour, the mini pig had broken three flower-beds.
The neighbour claimed that the pig had been destroying his garden for two weeks.
I said that my mini pig had never entered his garden before, whereas my neighbour said that my mini pig had appeared in the garden at about 9 a.m. five times.
He was absolutely certain that the pig had ruined all rare plants.
He mentioned that they had cost $ 5,000.

This is true story, which happened with me, when I studied at the 5-6 classes. I had my schoolmates (Julia and Bylysia), we lived next to each other and went to home together.
ReplyDeleteOne day when I was passing by their home I saw their neighbor Marik. It was the first time I have met him, and at first sight he seemed to me strange. I said good-bye to my friends and went to my home. But suddenly, I noticed that he followed by me. I began to go faster and he too. For some reason I knew that something had happened. After I went to the running. I had been running for some time, when fortunately saw the police. I asked them for help, I told that the boy was chasing me. And they had stopped him. I had known that he hadn't been running after me and I was calm.
The story about a naughty pig made me smile! I love pigs!

One day, my mother and I went to the village, where she had been living for 20 years. Before that, I had asked her some questions about animals, which lived there.
We arrived at my uncle's house. He had a big courtyard. I walked and walked there and suddenly my eyes fell on a little pig. I started to watch at him. He was so funny! He was running from one point to another with grunt. He had been doing it for 5 or 10 minutes. So energetic! Then I fed him and walked away.

ReplyDeleteMy funny story.When I was a little girl,I decided to look like my mum. At that time she wore a ruddy light lipstick. While she was cooking,I took her lipstick and made up myself...I had been standing by mirror for several minutes when I heard my mother~s laugh.I noticed her too late,she had already seen me! My face was red - from eyes to lips. She took a lot of photos. I adore to recall this event.

She had been screaming till Anselmus had to gave her a purse.The Student Anselmus was completely terrified. The day was ruined. Anselmus was sitting under the tree and thinking about his life.
ReplyDeleteIt's a funny story! I have a similar situation. However, my pet didn't destoy anything. One summer, several years ago, my brother and I were visiting our grandmother. At that moment we had a cat. It was naughty cat and like your mini pig. It had entered a neighbour's yard and killed their chicken. The neighbour claimed that my granny must paid them and she did because my cat was guilty.
ReplyDeleteMy strange story. One day I was visiting my friends. They'd rented a cottage and we'd gone up to stay with them and while we were walking we saw a big flying dish and we thought it was a UFO. After that we followed it in the end it was just a UFO game and young boy play with it. And then we laughed our head off.
